Another day spent enjoying our villa, we had a fire burning all day today to try and dry the washing. Leon went into Lucca to do some messages however, as per usual with Italian time, it took him half the day to find what he needed. The very helpful Italians appear to be very creative at giving directions…or maybe it’s our bad translation of the language (He He). Anyway it doesn’t discourage us…. we shriek in frustration or break out in laughter, and realize how lucky we are to have lots of time and that we are on no particular schedule. While Leon was sent on a voyage of discovery, I yet again tried to make my little pupil settle down and tackle some school work, ( my highest regards to all you wonderful teachers out there) I am not succeeding very well.
We cooked up some pasta and veggies for tea….Leon finally has given into accepting he will have to eat some pasta everyday as the meat here is e troppo caro; too expensive. But the wine is very cheap, so we are in high spirits!
